He first arrived in the west-coast city of Gothernburg where he only staiyed for a few years. He was then to move to Stockholm, not only the capital of Sweden but also the capitol of square-meter boats. The square meter boats are probably the most successful designs from Jac M Iversen on the sailboat side, but Jac M Iversen was also a very successful motor boat designer, with several of his designs published in yachting magazines in Scandinavia during the time. During his time in Sweden he made no less then 700 desinges of sailing boats and motor boats, making the total amount of Jac M Iversen designs something like 1100! Jac M Iversen designs have been very well documented and most of them are saved either in the Museum in Oslo, Norway or in the museum in Stockholm, Sweden. Apart from his boat designing and building Jac M Iversen was also a very keen sailor himself. He was one of the founding members of the yacht club “Soon Seilforening” in 1920 and was the clubs admiral for his whole life. Jac M Iversen died in 1974 in Stockholm Sweden. Many of his yachts are still in excistance and there is a special Jac M Iversen owners club, for owners of Jac M Iversen boats in excellent condition.
