There are many yacht designers who have contributed to the development of sailing yachts over time. Some have done more then others and some have been more revolutionizing then others. If we concentrate on the time period from 1880's, when private yachting really started, to 1950's when plastics started coming we find some great yacht designers.

I have here listed a few of the great yacht designers and info about them. More will be added as material is ready, and more info on each yacht designer will also be added. I will try to add some info on a few yachts that each designer has made so one can get more of a feeling and view of that yacht designers work over time.
