Hi
Anyone know anything about a sailboat called Penguin? It is built in Scandinavia in the 40's or 50's i belive and is 10.5m long. It looks much like a larger Dragon. Any info? Designer? Built where? I was told that over 10 of them where built.
Regards

Hi there
I think the yacht type you are acutally looking for is not a Penguin but a Pingvin (that is Penguin in Swedish!).
There is such a yacht made in about 10 examples. Pine on oak frames, length 10.50 meters, sail area 27sqm if Im not wrong. It would be what is classed as a "coastal cruiser" in Sweden (the swedish term being "Kust Kryssare").
I will see if I can digg up some more info about the type and post it here.
Any history on the owners of the yacht?
