History The greatest surviving yacht of the “Big Boat” class! When looking at a classic yacht like Lulworth it is hard to know where to start when describing her! Anything you look at when it comes to this magnificent yacht is amazing and the superlatives seem to run out very quickly! Lulworth has the longest wooden boom in the world, Lulworth is the largest Gaff Cutter in the world, Lulworth has been called “The Restoration of the Century”, Lulworth has the most original and authentic interior of any large classic yacht, And so much more! Lulworth was recently renovated to a fantastic standard. Interior Accomodation is made up of 1 owners cabin with 3 bunks (2+1) and 3 guest cabins (2 doubles and 1 single cabin) and crew accommodation for 12. Lulworth has a very large living space and most of the original detailing has been keep in the yacht and restored. Hull: Mahogany planking on steel frames and the deck is made of 25 mm mahogany with 25 mm ply under it. Rigging: Lulworths sailing area is in total a massive 1450m2. Spruce Spars and Galvanized Standing Rigging. The mast is 52m high and the boom is an incredible 27.6m long! |
