Here you will find information not only about different classic yachts but also the designers and different classes.

When looking at the history of classic yachts you will soon find that there is a large amount of local racing types developed over the years, some soon grew in to large international racing classes, like the “meter rule” yachts or the Dragons witch used to be an Olympic class racing yacht.

We also have a large forum with anything from tips and tricks on how to renovate and maintain a classic yacht, parts and info source finding, classic yacht racing and of course a section of buy and sell classic yachts.

All classic yacht info and forums are free to access but you will have to register (free of course) to access some parts or post in the forums. Register users also get a free blog (dairy) where they can write about there yacht and post pictures of the yachts or maybe even of its restoration!

We also have a gallery with pictures of classic sailing yachts, where you can upload pictures or just view others pictures and vote on them!

Owning or restoring a classic sailing boat can be a time consuming thing and having the support from others doing the same thing online can be a very good thing, not only to get help and advice but to keep you motivated in the difficult times that anyone with a wooden yacht get to experience some times!

The New York Thirty Class was designed in 1904 by the great Nathaniel Herreshoff as a one design class for the New York Yacht Club. Most of the original eighteen boats have been restored and are actively sailing today.
They are not only incomparably beautiful yachts but exceptionally fast and powerful in all conditions. The thirty’s been not only a competitive one-design class but have been winning races for nearly 100 years. Plans are underway to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the class in the summer of 2005.
"Nautilus" completed an exquisite rebuilding/restoration in 2002 and is essentially a new boat in every way; only the finest methods and materials were used to launch her into her next hundred years.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Interior is traditional raised white panels with varnished mahogany trim & solid teak sole.
From the bow: Forepeak storage followed by a large vee berth with storage beneath. Next to port a marine head concealed in a locker to starboard with a sink opposite; both the head and vee berth can be enclosed by a canvas curtain.
Large port and starboard settees from tha main saloon and a simple galley is aft with a Taylor two burner propane stove with oven, sink, ice box, galley, tan canvas cushions, pillows and storage. Nautilus' interior is open and bright and invites overnight cruising.

All spars, standing and running rigging, sails, winches new in 2002.
